Evolutionary Diet & Exercise

Junk foods (actually processed foods) have been almost entirely removed from my diet a few days ago, and I’m already feeling the positive impact.

The “Evolutionary Diet”, as I like to call it, means consuming foods and drinks maximally tuned into the millions of years of human (and prehuman) evolution — because the body is obviously built for that diet.

No more Peanut M&M’s, Cheezits, and cookies — used to be daily consumed by yours truly, and even consistently right before bedtime.

No more bread, rice, and pasta.

Pure fruits and vegetables (but no starches — e.g. potatoes) can be eaten without reservation.

Pure meats (without sauce/marinade — but not necessarily without adding my own herbs and spices) are consumed responsibly, and strongly help with caloric density. In addition to boiling chicken breasts, I eat only ‘certified organic’ (i.e. without added ingredients) roast beef, for meaty example.

A limited amount of medium cheddar cheese and unsalted peanuts are mixed in as appropriate.

Water (Aquafina) is my main drink, but I still daily enjoy my half-cup of black coffee, my ‘espresso shot’ of orange juice (limited due to sugar concentration), and a couple glasses of milk (admittedly with a bit of chocolate powder still for now) — not to mention the very occasional glass of wine (or beer) when I go out with family/friends.

I focus upon ensuring that my body is full enough at supper, so food isn’t needed until my next breakfast.

Usually sleeping for 5-6 hours daily, I’m already now sleeping for 7-8 hours daily.

My sugar levels feel natural and healthy, and I’m apparently on track to lose the bit o’ gut I got due to unhealthy carbohydrate consumption.

Okay, I’ll still eat a small amount of pasta here and there (my pasta dishes are really steamed broccoli dishes with pasta acting like a sauce), and a little over half of a frozen Ristorante pizza once a week — both to accommodate my personal “caregivee”. When that “caregivee” no longer needs my eating companionship, I’ll remove these foods from my diet.

I simply let go as fit during the occasional restaurant experience (e.g. chicken alfredo on Mother’s Day).

No complex meals to make, nor other time-consuming processes, my diet includes foods/drinks that are easily accessible to help keep my stress signature (basically how I feel) balanced properly.

Also believing in the “Evolutionary Exercise” plan, I prefer to hike about 1-2 hours daily. Luckily, I live nearby a set of trails including 200 feet hills that feel like hiking up and down a roller coaster. My body — which has largely evolved from generations of mammals hiking over natural terrain — feels nicely fitter as a result, and all of my muscles (especially leg ones) are getting proper exercise.

The Placebo effect scientifically demonstrates the power of the mind towards self-healing, so imagine how destructive the antithesis of that effect can be.

Composure (balance) is the sole (and soul) path to solidifying positive health, so my diet and exercise naturally conform to that sensation of composure.

Adding Yoga to strengthen composure and my body in general (including upper body strength apparently not totally addressed by hiking) is paramount, but frankly challenging due to resource issues (importantly noting defeatism is never an option).

Overall, I balance my healthy work ethic with my healthy relaxation ethic to ensure optimal health and consequently productivity for our community.

I'm an honest freak (or reasonably responsibly balanced "misfit", if you prefer) of an entertainer working and resting as my careful contribution to help improve society. Too many people abuse reasoning (e.g. 'partial truth = whole truth' scam), while I exercise reason to explore and express whole truth without any conflict-of-interest.
