Where Outrage Should Dominate

Terribly tragically sad is my inability to generate enough care with respect to a seriously important issue largely beyond the radar of the masses, but defeatism is not an option.

Please take a moment to read this excellent article titled “I’ve seen the opioid epidemic as a cop. Living it as a patient has been even worse.”

My comment therein conveniently shared with you herein:

I hate to say it, but welcome to our side of this important issue, Mr. Selby.

The only true drug epidemic is drug prohibition addiction.

Medical monopolies (where price fixing found righteously illegal in any other industry runs rampant at tremendous taxpayer expense) are a mathematical threat to our economy, but I digress somewhat. My point here is evil is ironically rampant within healthcare, so while there are wonderful people doing wonderful things in healthcare, there is a serious risk of being victimized by the abhorrent amount of corruption therein.

Meanwhile, as thousands of people die of opioid overdose annually (an unacceptable number, but an overwhelming minority of our population, so not really an epidemic), millions of non-rights-infringing people have their lives ruined to varying degrees by a flatly destructive war on (some politicized) drugs against public safety (a war that you were brainwashed to participate in via the power of propaganda).

The rich get richer, and that is the modus operandi of our nation.

Laws designed against abuses by the rich only end up serving the rich, because they directly or indirectly control the rule-of-law.

The answer is clear, but requires the right ruling in the true highest court of the land — the court of public opinion.

End the miserably failed Certain Drug Prohibition by repealing the Controlled Substances Act as the undeniably unconstitutional abomination that is surely is (one absurdly and repeatedly ruled constitutional by way of the Commerce Clause — i.e. “To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes”).

Get drug prohibition addicts the help that they desperately need — instead of enabling their hypocritical addiction, so they continue to ruin an ultimately uncountable number of lives by continuously lying and in effect stealing to get their prohibition fix.

Drug abuse (which statistically and empirically occurs within the overwhelming minority of drug intake instances) is clearly a health (not criminal) issue by any exercise of intelligence and civility.

I sincerely hope you feel better, Mr. Selby.

I'm an honest freak (or reasonably responsibly balanced "misfit", if you prefer) of an entertainer working and resting as my careful contribution to help improve society. Too many people abuse reasoning (e.g. 'partial truth = whole truth' scam), while I exercise reason to explore and express whole truth without any conflict-of-interest.
